It's Twisted Mix Tape Tuesday (No Strings)

Hey Yo:

Back in the groove this week after spending last week in Brooklyn, New York, visiting my oldest Son, Justin, and his family.  Fun Times!!!

OK...  Back to business.  After completing our 'Tour of the Decades,' we are on to other things.  This week, as per our "Hostess with the Mostess," Jen, from My Skewed View..., the theme is No Strings Attached, or maybe (wink, wink) One Night Stands.  So, let's see where this goes.  Our "Co-Host" is Kristi, over at Finding Ninee...  Click on their Links and check out all the other Mix Tape participants.  You'll find your smile.


A bit of a crazy mix from me this week as I jump around the genre.  But, hang in there with me as I follow this theme.  So, Let's Get This Party Started...

    Oh. My. God. Your first selection was GENIUS! How did I not even think of that one? It's like, the Original One Night Stand Song - never mind the fact that it was sung by dreamy Ricardo, years before his interest in fine Corinthian leather or islands of fantasy.

    for a supposed sweet little perfect blonde country fembot, Carrie Underwood sure has a lot of cheatin' and runnin; around songs. she's on so many list.

    we both used Stay With Me. It's wonderfully sleazy. Great work. here, sir.

    Ok seriously, Baby It's Cold Outside is genius. I think about that every time I hear that song. How seriously racy that sing was for its time. But those men, they never change do they? (Commenting from the line to see Journey btw)

    Slu! You're awesome. I'd forgotten all about that song by Heart! At first, I thought it was the "Heart Breaker" one. Long ago, I adapted that one to be "You're a Lamp Breaker!" after um. Never mind. Bob Seger has to be one of my all time favorites forever. Great list!

    Yes! Stay With Me... how many times have I heard this song and never thought about what it meant? (and I just learned something...here I thought this song was Rod Stewart...so I just looked it up and it is! Just not him solo, which I had always thought. Learn something new every day, as they say!)

    I never thought about Baby It's Cold Outside being that kind of song, but you totally pegged it. I think it's because back in the day, they cloaked that stuff in so much politeness. haha The Faces tune is terrific and it reminded me that Rod's Tonight's the Night would be perfect too.
