It's Twisted Mix Tape Tuesday (00's - Part 2)

Hey Yo:

Ahhhhhhhhh...  Part 2!!!  Still in the 00's, and this week, if we so choose, we can March Right Up to 2013, all 'Billy B. A.' ya know.  What started out in the 60's, has led us all the way to 'righchere' (That's from an old Clint Eastwood movie), which will end our 'Decade Tour.'

Our 'Hostess with the Mostess' is Jen, from My Skewed View... and her Co-Host is Kristi, over @ Finding Ninee...  I hope you will click on their Links and hear some really great tune's!!!

This week, for me, pretty much a continuation from last week.  Some tunes that I like and maybe another Smooth Jazz selection.  In order of their release:  Let's Get This Party Started...

#1:  Gonna start off with a tune that was actually released in 1997.  From Harvey Danger.  A fave of mine:  Flagpole Sitta.  Enjoy...  (source

#2:  Released in 2000.  From 3 Doors Down.  Always liked this.  Kryptonite.  Enjoy...  (source)

#3:  Released in 2002.  Audioslave with I Am The Highway.  Enjoy...  (source)

#4:  Right back again with Audioslave.  Released in 2005.  Be Yourself.  Enjoy...  (source)

#5:  For my final Decade Tour Tune:  Released in 2005, I leave you with my favorite Smooth Jazz Band...  Back again from last week, Down to the Bone with Wildfire Woman.  Enjoy...  (source)

And there it is...  So much fun.  Everybody has different sounds they like and that is the beauty of these Mix Tape's.  I hope you enjoyed.  Remember to head over to Jen's at My Skewed View with MT #19... to catch all the other participants and their 'sounds.'

Have a great week.  Hope to see ya back on Happy Friday.  Til then...

Be safe, be smart, and always Smile...  It's Twisted Mix Tape Tuesday.

  1. You really do enjoy a wide variety of music huh? Very cool. I think Kryptonite is the only song this dork knows from this list.

hey that Down to the Bone? damn! (to my brain it had everything: Stevie Wonder, EW&F...Gil Scott Heron (yeah I know, there are plenty of other flutes in records, but the song was for some reason dragging me back into the 70s)

really hate to see the 'whole decade' thing end.

  3. Nice list! Again, hitting me with some jazz at the end and reminding me that I need to pay far more attention to that genre.

  6. I completely forgot about the Harvey Danger song. I used to love it and now I need to add it to a playlist. Also love just about everything else on the list, though the jazz is new to me. I'm more of a rock or blues-type, but the jazz is nice for a change.

  8. Flagpole Sitta' - geez. i love that song.

The lyrics are so deep man. (While it's true, I said that in my best stoner voice. Not that I would have any idea what a stoner would sound like. Um. Hey look! Is that Ted Nugent standing over there?!?)
